Five Years ago....

In some ways it feels longer...much longer, but in other ways, it seems hard to believe that five years have already past since Nathan was born. Most of you already know that Nathan was our little miracle baby. We were told when I was five months pregnant with him that he would not survive outside my womb. And today he is a awesome, happy, healthy, smart, wild, imaginative, lively, handsome, loving FIVE year old!

Schooooool's out for SUMMER!

Well it was Nathans last day of school today and he spent it napping on the couch with a temperature of 104 degrees. He was devastated he couldn't go to school today especially because they were going to celebrate his birthday today. It just felt wrong that my sick child cried for over an hour because he wanted to GO to school! Nate is definitely going to miss school and his friends over the summer! Nate tried to convince me he was feeling fine this morning and even got dressed to try and persuade me to let him go. I thought it was funny that he just happened to put on the same shirt he wore on the first day of school. It made me a little sad that a whole school year has already flown by. Nate has learned so much this year, he was one smart cookie before he started but now I can't believe some of the things that come out of his mouth! For instance when I recently referred to a spider as an insect and he corrected me by saying "Mom, spiders are not insects, they are arachnids!" My bad!

Nathan's last day of school

Nathan, in case you happen to read this 10 years from now, I am really sorry you didn't get to go to school today buddy and I hope and PRAY you keep up this same enthusiasm for school in the years to come! A mom can dream, right?!
